Monsoon

Monsoon is here in KT! *excitement*

One of the first things people told us about KT was "monsoon is coming, be prepared".. And being pure Kl-ites, born & bred in hot weather since birth, we were eagerly anticipating the arrival of the monsoon season. So when August came, we started to look forward to it. Then September came and we were more excited. By October we were getting our umbrella's ready. Finally in November, monsoon came. And boy did it come with full-blown effects. According to the locals, this year's monsoon is one of the worst so far. Floods have been hitting the East Coast due to the monsoon and parts of the East Coast highway were closed, forcing express buses heading to KL to return to KT.

Praise God we are not affected by the rain, even though our places faces the sea (It'd be hard to be flooded 8 floors above ground level. haha.. ) I have to say i'm enjoying the current season. Its always windy and cold, and at times it feels as if i'm up in cameron's! The down side to it is nothing gets dry. Doing the laundry is nearly impossible, be prepared to go for 3 days of drying under the fan. Due to the constant wet and damp condition, mold has been growing everywhere.. in cupboards, on tables, and even on my ketchup bottle *eeks* Thirst Hippo sales must have gone up last week when everyone rushed to Mydin to not 1, not 2 but 4 packs! *laughs*

On another note, today is the 1st of dec. Time flies so fast. I can't wait to go home for Chistmas in 3 weeks. Yoohoo!
