a heart of thanksgiving

someone writes : I am thankful...

For the husband that snores all night, because he is at home asleep with me & not with someone else

For the parking at the far end of the lot because it means i have legs

For a floor that needs mopping & windows that needs cleaning because it means i have a home

For the alarm that goes off early in the morning because it means i'm still alive

I write : I am thankful....

For the parking i get at the far end of the hospital lot and right infront of the rubbish bins because it means i have a car :)

For the floor & windows that needs cleaning every few days because it means i have a beautiful home :) :)

For the alarm that goes off a few hours after i fall asleep because it means i have classes & a career to pursue :)

I've learnt to be thankful for the simple things in everyday life such as the weather, a car park lot, great friends etc. And it all comes not by trying to remind myself i should be thankful at all times but by looking at Jesus & seeing Him in ALL his loveliness. Experiencing His grace & wonderful love catalyzes the feeling of thanksgiving & i just can't stop thanking Him!

Over the chinese new year period, i had a wonderful time with great food & even better family quality time. And we had something quite different this year *laughs*

looking at this pictures makes me hungry all over again ;)
